“Scandalous Truth about Prayer”
Matthew 6:5-15

The Lord’s Prayer is repeated in thousands of churches each week.  For many it is a ritualistic observance, but the teaching in and around the Lord’s Prayer is a wake-up call which forces us to define the strength, passion and dependence of our hearts toward God.  “Our Father” reveals the depth of His love for us as children.  This love is best displayed in the cross and in the Lord’s Supper which we celebrate today.

Life Application:  The Lord’s Prayer is the perfect example of a God-centered focus.  Can you distinguish between self-centered prayers and God centered prayers?  What is the big difference?
