The Community Easter BBQ is a fun, community-wide event at our new property. It’s an exciting event with all kinds of activities for the whole family, including bouncies, hayrides, live music, great food, and of course…egg hunts for the kids!

The 2012 Northside Community Easter BBQ will be April 7.

In the meantime, Wildwood will be hosting a BBQ Fundraiser Dinner on Wednesday, Feb 29 at 5:30pm in the Fellowship Hall. As fun and exciting as the BBQ is for everyone, it does cost us something…but you can help us minimize that cost by participating in our fundraising effort!

Most people will tell you that separation and divorce are the most painful and stressful experiences they’ve ever faced. It’s a confusing time when you feel isolated and have lots of questions about issues you’ve never faced before.

That’s the reason for DivorceCare. It’s a series of support groups and seminars facilitated by people who understand what you are experiencing. Most importantly, you’ll learn how to deal with the pain of the past and look forward to rebuilding your life.

Children experiencing divorce tell us they feel alone and helpless. Your children may feel scared, sad and confused. They may hide their feelings from you because they are worried about your happiness or because they do not know how to express their feelings appropriately.

Divorce Care 4 Kids (DC4K) is a special group that meets simultaneously with Divorce Care to help your children (5 – 12 years) heal from the pain caused by a separation or divorce. It provides your children with a safe and neutral place to recognize and learn to share their feelings. The weekly session topics help your children learn that God’s love strengthens them and helps them turn their sadness to hope and their anger to joy.

This coming January, Wildwood Church will host new Divorce Care and DC4K classes for individuals and families facing separation or divorce. The 13-week Divorce Care series will be facilitated by Ben and Karen Chandler, while DC4K will be facilitated by Helen Bradford.

Divorce Care and DC4K are non-denominational and feature biblical teaching for recovering from divorce and separation.

Come enjoy Christmas Eve at Wildwood Church!

The Family Advent Experience will be Wednesday night, Nov. 30, from 5:30pm to 7:30pm.

What do we do at this event?  We’re glad you asked.

Well…there’s a dinner in which everyone eats together. There are crafts and games that children and adults can do together. There are Christmas carols that include all ages and focus on Jesus. There is a story time to warm the heart and remind everyone why they love Christmas. And of course, every family gets to build an Advent Wreath!

All of these things have become a fun seasonal event that our church family has grown to love.

The team will be doing a light upgrade to the sound system. The job itself is easy, but since there are 40-50 connections to be soldered, more hands on deck will make the job go faster!

Don’t miss the Young Couples’ Game Night at Wildwood! The fun goes down Friday, Nov. 11th from 6:30pm to 8:30pm.
