The Deacons of Wildwood Church (see pictures below), collectively known as the “Diaconate”, exist to serve the needs of the church community, particularly those facing challenges beyond what they can handle on their own.
As servants of the church, the deacons address many needs, including the following:
Financial Needs such as rent, car payments, medical and insurance payments. For financial needs beyond a one-time gift, the Diaconate can coordinate budget counseling and evaluate needs on a month-to-month basis.
Physical Needs that represent either crisis-level needs or those that cannot be met by the efforts of the individual member. Some examples are removing fallen trees from homes, minor home repairs, and moving assistance. For those needs which are beyond the scope of the Deacons, we can provide a list of local resources to address them.
Referrals: You may not need our services at this time, but you may know someone who does. Please contact us directly or encourage them to do so. Call our Mercy Hotline at 894-1400, ext. 284. The Mercy Team will follow up with the individual and direct them to the most appropriate ministry. All calls are handled in a confidential manner.
Deacon Fund contributions can be made through freewill offerings at any time or through the special offering envelope provided in the bulletin on the second Sunday of each month.
